2015 has started with a whirlwind of exciting projects and works – a busy year ahead!
The new Lloyd Hall in Outwood, Surrey was officially opened by Dame Judi Dench on 31st January – a wonderful day for the village after our eight month build was completed to stunning affect.
A design and build project, Buildwise demolished the old hall and rebuilt a new one to meet local requirements, centred on an Oakwrights timber frame. It is a superb facility, boasting underfloor heating, commercial kitchen, huge storage capacity, meeting rooms and the main 120m2 timber floored hall.
Visit www.lloydhall.org for further details for hiring or using the facility – we at Buildwise are proud of the result and it will stand as the village centrepiece for years to come.
At the end of 2014, Buildwise completed a high end extension and refurbishment of a town house in Chiswick – a modern and exacting build with a high-end specification and finish to match. Similarly the refurbishment and extension of a Georgian house in Surbiton blends Buildwise’s ability to work with period properties as well as modern design styles.
Work in progress and scheduled:
Buildwise is increasing working with local developers to maximise the success of their schemes, working as a traditional contractor and as Joint-Venture partners:
We are well advanced in the restoration and conversion of The Rotunda in Godalming – a stunning Listed building in the town centre – to create two luxury apartments. The structural and roofing works are complete, with the internal layout taking shape, these apartments promise to be something very special…
Working with local developers, Crestfield Properties, Buildwise is working on creating nine flats through the conversion of a former office in Godalming. Only two of the flats are yet to be sold and the project is due to complete at the end of February.
For Adeo Property Developments, Buildwise are due to complete three houses on the seafront in Lancing at the end of March. Come the summer, these houses will boast stunning views and with high quality construction will no doubt reach premium valves.
Following a successful phase I of works for the Crown Estate, Buildwise have commenced phase II of civil works at Ocean Retail Park in Portsmouth. Drainwise is actively involved in the works, but still continuing with its restaurant maintenance contracts – in- and out-of-hours.
